View Full Version : Tweeter Installation?

I got tweeters installed by JB. I always thought tweeters needed to go inside the doors or at the front. With my installation they just mounted them on the doors. I think its pretty inconvenient because one has already been knocked off.
Did they do this because they where lazy? or is it the proper way to install tweeters on a Honda Integra 1997?

Well your first problem is you went to JB for installation.
Yes, some JB's do a decent job but most JB's do it the dodgy and lazy way as I have found out myself.
And in your case, it seems as though they have done it the lazy way.
Tweeter installs can be done like that but it's not recommended.
The most sensible way of installing the tweeter would be flush mounting it to the door card but if you aren't confident in doing that, maybe ask some one on here to give you a hand.

I like mine install on the dash or A-piller

Those two options are good but do involve some custom fabricating
I would recommend doing it like the eg VTi's how its flush mounted.

ive got the tweeters in the same position you have them but flush mounted its easy. ill send u a pic when im finished
