hi,

just want to confirm whether a cluster from a JDM spec ITr 98 will be a straight fit to a civic eg? or will it involve some mods?

thanks

yeah just ram it in there
or you could do what other people do put a itr dash in your eg with the cluster
but that would be to hard and compilcated

thanks for the quick reply!

I don't want to replace my whole dash (don't have the time nor the patience to do such a big job) .Do I have to take the whole dash out to put the cluster in?

Nope. You don't need to do that. Take out the plastic piece that surrounds your cluster and subsequently take out the screws that secures the cluster. Bare in mind that you need to find ways to secure the ITR cluster when installing the cluster onto your EG as the holes on the screws does not fit directly. Small modification can be done to secure the cluster tho.

u will have to cut it so it fits
but im guessing you wouldnt want to do that would you
and by removing the surronds it will leave big gaps there if it doesnt get put back in

IMO, it's not going to look nice by just directly fitting onto EG dash. You'll see big gaps in between the cluster cover and the cluster surround cover.

cool, thanks for the tips...I'd probably just stick to the current cluster
