when you stop and is not in gear. and when clutch is not in! it makes a induction noise.
which is normal as i've noticed with a few friends cars.

now it has that noise plus a knocking noise to it. which im not sure what it is. but when i clutch in the knocking goes away but also the induction noise goes away.

before it was only the induction noise or something. but now its just wierd.

any clues before i bring it into the workshop on wednes?

cheers

the more you drive it the more metal falls off the ISB and runs through the rest of the gearbox killing more bearings and other metal parts. ( over time )

could it be gearbox oil? i experience no crunching at all. just whilst at idle when clutch is not pushed in that i experience this problem.
cheers.
and estimated price for the part+ labour if anyone has done this before!

dont think its the oil.

could cost $500 to fix, could be a bit more could be less. depends where you take it

yeah as mentioned by ecu, if the ISB falls apart, it'll completely destroy your whole clutch kit and possibly your flywheel, like my car, had the same problem and when opened, every part was broken some where...

Good luck and save money to fix the whole setup (clutch kit or flywheel) or else it'll cost too much to just replace the ISB for labour...
