GREAT WORK!
*stabs hit'n'runer* Waiting around to make sure you didnt leave a message? What the F%^K is wrong with people... That's why honda should start including auto flamethrowers as standard equipment... haha
You can give the details to police/vic roads and as far as i know they contact the person that the vehicle belongs to.... Don't quote me on that but im somewhat sure...

Good work mate. If no one here claims their car (if they are a member) then try clubitr.com as most of the dc5r owners use that site, i'm assuming.

it would have been far cheaper for the guy to leave his details.. If he gets caught he faces a jail term! Well in NSW i know that penalties for hitandrun accidents where someone is injured can be up to 7years imprisonment. If he has a record and gets caught he's royally screwed. not sure how it works in melb as i read this off of the rta website. stuff like this annoys the shit out of me well done to you for standing up to this dude!

i tried pulling the owner over the other night, failed. hmm i dont think he's an ozhonda member, i know he travels too and from deerpark area. but yeh, we couldn't leave our own details on his window when he got reversed into. cause the guy who reversed into him was a bit aggro.

Lol.
His not going to go to jail as there was minimal property damage... He will be charged but most likely with very little concequence... Probebly a fine. If the Australian Justice system has taught us anything it's that you get a second.......and third........and fourth chance before anything serious happens....
All the same, Good work Grim.
unfortunately even if u did get his details, nothing will happen anyways. I had exactly the same thing happen to me. Cops didnt do shit. Was suppose to recieve a call back in regards to the incident, and never got one back.. these things happen

It's a hit and run.. Very serious offence.
Suspect won't get away with a slap on the wrist surely..

It's serious if someone is injured/hurt/killed...
He would be lucky if charges are even bought before him... The police/governments excuse is they can't afford/have the time to chase after every little incident, which of course holds true to some degree. However it's more up to the person themselves to sue/press charges. Unless you have money/time behind you and the offender has assets/money you can go after...there isn't usually an ending worth the trouble.... If its just property damage the police are very rarely concerned...
It's sad in a way that when it comes down to it a person can just deny it and unless your really willing to go through with it (usually not worth the trouble) then...they will get away with it.
That's when DIY vigilante comes into it XD :D

It's great when people report a wrong.
I recently had my euro backed into by a 4 wd in a car park.
The woman who did it was a muslim in burka, etc, and was aware of the impact but chose to drive off.
A guy in the car park, who knows me but not my car, waited for me to return to the car, was surprised it was me and gave me the rego no. of the 4wd.
Contacted the local police, who tracked down the owner as a visiting Iraqi doctor. Apparently it was his wife driving and told the police she was too scared to stop as a man was watching her in the car park,....I wonder why.......maybe the bang?
Anyway, the police were going to charge her with a couple of traffic offences, but at least my insurance won't hit me up for the excess!
Thank god for good samaritans...........
