hi guys,
i have a new civic vti due for first service so i have booked in for larke hoskins at homebush. i was wondering if i have to pay anything at all for first service? like would they charge me for oil etc? has anyone had experience with this dealer, im just asking cause friend said they were a bit dishonest and forced him to pay extra for some parts.

thanks

edit:also i didnt buy the car from them but their my closest dealer

Not for the first 1000km service, its a requirment of their warranty guidline that you change the engine oil @ 1000km, which is done free of charge. basicly replace the much thinner "running in oil" for something a little thicker and longer lasting.

I dont think they change engine oil at the 1000km service. Its just an inspection service to make sure everythings right. The first oil change it at 10,000km and oil filters are only changed every 20,000kms.

^^^ yah, nothin will be changed at the 1000km service (if all OK :D). They only inspect and do some adjustments if needed, and it will be free of charge.

btw, i had a bad exp with that dealer above, didn't buy any cars fr them but it was enough for me not to come back there ever :thumbdwn:. Others may fare better though.

Unless you own a euro.

Euros get oil change at 1k service.

First service is Oil Change... They need to get rid of all the crap that accumulates from new engines.
