Hellos,

Need Advice on my type R 02 model dc5r

Its accelerating by itself... after 5-10 mins of idle(i didnt time its a est). The car will rev itself up to 2.5 x1000 RPM and drop and continuously do it...

Abit of history...

The car has been sitting there for 1 month... never turned it on. It was under a car cover for one whole month...

I heard possible causes... but i want a 2nd opion...

Thank you,

bennjamin

clean and inspect the ICAV (located on the back of the intake manifold) - its probably dirty and gunked up.

Another possible cause is a build up of moisture on one or even a few of the spark plugs. Take the spark plugs out and inspect for a dirty black butt. Get the plugs change and see how it goes.

ECU needs to relearn idle maybe?

Warm up the car. turn it off.
Take the ecu fuse out.
Put it back in after 10 seconds.
start the car.

Small fix. Doubt its your answer though. Might aswell give it a try. Nothing wrong with a 10 min job.

Found the problem... its on the throttle body... the butterfly thing...

its a sensory that tells the car if its warm up or not... it doesnt move...

Any where i can source out this sensory?
