sorry i misread your thread (tabbed) -
For VTEC to work on your car, you require the head as mentioned , a upper head "kit" , compatible auto ECU with vtec (such as a EG6, dc2 vtir etc) and abit of wiring. Can be done im sure as long as the ecu came from a car with VTEC and auto

OMG.JAI xD

It will.
B series bottom end are all the same.

But i doubt it would work very well with an auto box.

Now available for Acura/Honda B16, B18A, B18B, and B20. The Golden Eagle main girdle helps to minimize deflection and distortion of the bottom end and main bearing caps. For high output or high revving engines this is a necessity. Manufactured from T-6061 Aluminum for strength, light weight, and durability. Unique design allows for access to the rod caps without removing the girdle. For the kits, we have included the Golden Eagle girdle, ARP main studs, custom step-down dowels, GSR oil pickup, and GSR windage tray for a complete setup. This kit does require the use of the GSR oil pan as well, which we have available seperately.

first of all, VTIR's didnt come in auto.
and you shouldve heard the crossover even if you converted it to auto, Regardless.

and DC4 is a GSI non vtec.

so im not sure which way you're headed with your questions.

not to put you down or anything but its really not worth it. Ur car is automatic = gain will be minimal. Going to be really hard to find a automatic 1.8L vtec ecu. if you dont upgrade engine internals you will only rev to 7 grand. so you wil be getting vtec for only 2k, pointless imho.

Sell of now, and invest in some manual driving lessons.
