How to tell a 96 jdm dc2r and a audm apart

Just wondering if there are any differences between the two besides.

-rear strut

-wiper less window

-non air-bag wheel

-tail lights

-4 lug

-Long headlights

-180km speedo


Also does the vin of a jap spec start with 6A91xxxxxxxxxxxxx rather then the audm jhmdc?

also i did search but its mostly everyone comparing the front ends of the two and not smaller differences.

Non air-bag steering wheel.
JDM cluster has top speed of 180km/h, AUDM has 2xxkm/h
4x114.3 as opposed to 5x114.3
Engine is JDM B18C, AUDM is B18C7
Rear sway bar on JDM should be thicker than AUDM (I don't know if this only applies to 98+ or not though)
I think 96 JDM DC2R had no passenger airbag.
4.4 final drive as opposed to AUDM 4.7 (drive it and you'll see a difference)

front lights, bonnet, front bar, duh Fred. LOL. oh and rear bar. lol the most uncommon thing is that the JDM has no clock, only has a face plate.

96 JDM had no air bags what so ever.

oh and JDM models, the ride height is pretty high.

and yes the JDM VIN starts like this 6H91MPORT************

JDM '96spec suspension is idential to AUDM, only JDM '98 is different.

its best not to limit your search to just ozhonda, there are other resources available, and just try to search on a more broad level next time

theres also the non abs,
no water nossle for the rear widow
Drivers side compartment ( under drivers vent)
Fog light button
also the jdm writing on the stickers and visors.

Yea only reason i asked is because i was looking at a dc2r which is supposedly a jdm 96 spec, the engine and vin say its jdm but whats weird is that it has.


- Audm front

- face lifted rear taillights

-5 lug

Also the rear window has a wiper on it and a water nozzle and it has a aftermarket steering wheel aswell so its hard to tell that its actually a jdm chassis.

It's probably an AUDM that the owner has called 'JDM' to be cool, or it's a JDM and the owner has done a dodgy to get it registered.
