Hi everyone, been signed up for a little while now whilst waiting for my EG Vti to come from sydney, (im from the hunter valley area), was previously driving a pulsar (N16 sedan) but it got introduced to a tree, and so now I've made the jump from PGA to ozhonda.

Been toughing it out for 6 months or so in a 94/95 suzuki cino (no a/c or p.s sucks)

These are the pics from the dealer, will get some up once it arrives, even though its stock as a rock

It was advertised at $9995 but I managed to get it down to $8500, I don't think I've done too badly, looks to be in good condition and only 135k on the clock

mint example.. price is a bit fair fetched though imo. god dam i hate supply and demand!

Yeah, I thought I might've been able to knock it down to 7.5 but wasn't the case. Asked how low he could go and he wanted "around 9.5" so to hell with that lol.

I prefer to go through dealers though, warranty + more likely to get a good deal than through private sale where you can never be 100% certain...from what I've seen, there aren't too many civics on the market atm, with low km's at dealers so I took what I could.

Beats the cino anyway lol

wow that sends me back 8 years or so to the day I got my white 93 VTi.. mine looked identical except for OEM front lip.. mine had 114,000km at that stage.. now she has almost 240,000kms :( hahahaha.. hope you treat this one better than your pulsar !! if u need any tips on the VTi let me know.

hope you treat this one better than your pulsar !! i

Yeah I'm pretty sure I will lol, its a bit better when you pay for the car yourself, you appreciate it more than a car that's just been handed down to you.

Didn't you want like 5.5k for your GL ?

Clean example mate.. You definitely get what you pay for!!

mine was only like $13,000 back in 2001, but now even with the $$$ spent on the car, I am having trouble insuring it for $10k !! so yeah it's a little steep on price but considering the kms and the condition looks mint it's not too bad IMO. have you logged on to hondaone.com.au and signed up using your VIN (etc.) to check the service history ? if it has 6 month/10,000kms dealer service history and you cant find any proof of crash repair damage then you're onto a winner !! you get what you pay for and yeah you'll still see GL's and Breezes going for over $5,000 these days even though redbook says a VTi is only worth $4,500..

what year is it ?? build date and compliance date ?? does it have airbag, ABS or black valve cover ?? if so.. it's a late 95 SE model !!!

hywindz
04-03-2009, 04:27 PM
Seems quite overpriced, but I guess honda's are getting very hard to find(especially here in qld)
I don't trust dealers, the last dealer i tried to get a car from was a bastard. but that's just me haha
looks clean though good luck with it

will13
04-03-2009, 04:41 PM
year is 95, build date iirc was october 95, i believe it does have airbag, not sure bout abs or compliance date...will have to check again once it arrives!

04-03-2009, 07:39 PM
well.. might be worth a bit extra if is off the last boat so to speak hahaha.

dealers do slap on a margin to their cars and their warrantys arent much chop really..
but would be interested in the service history etc. a clean low Km late ship EG.. not too many in stock form these days no tint and hubcaps FTW

take lots of pics when u do get it and of the engine bay !

it's a manual aint it ??

Welcome to Ozhonda mate :)

Might fine and clean VTI you have there, price leaves something to be desired but I would have payed that much for a AH that has a Sunroof and bloody low k's

If you're not already aware there are a few Hunter Valley people (trism being one)

and if you're up for a Drive come to a Monthly Meet sometime (and bring your mates)

The Birthday Meet is coming up :) so if you like i can message you closer to time.

Oh really? When was this?

Around a month ago.

I'll be honest, it is one of the straightest eg's i've seen in a long time, and that's no bullshit.

The only thing which let it down as i said, was the missing bracket for the front bar (black thing with those plastic screws in it) and the lack of polystyrene bumber support thing... Hence why I said it's been in a little tap once in it's life!

Overall, it's pretty darn neat.

I could have guessed you wanted / went to see it!

And yes, I think it had 130,000 odd k's?

best to start with a nice clean car then a avg one and spend money to fix
seems like the the air bag has gone off before because it has been replaced with a diff colour module

$8500 is abit too much for a Stock EG5 i reckon. I got my EG for $6k, with genuine 95,000kms + logbooks, when i got it, it was alredy lowered, 17inch rims. Everything else was stock. LOL

btw congrats on ur EG ;) hope you'll have fun with it in the future like me :D

Yeah, but supply and demand these days makes it harder to find one for the prices that alot of others ones have sold for in the past :(

but yeh, hopefully i do have fun with it :D
