Try these guys http://www.packsend.com.au/

They are like a broker for couriers awesome stuff considering that the main bulky couriers only accommodate business to business transactions. get a pallet, strap it on and when you get a quote from them measure the dimensions, weight it and ask for a pallet jack at pick up and delivery if required.

i shipped a motor gearbox engien loom and shift linkage with driveshafts to adelaide for $175..

1x1x1 cubic metre, at 200kg max weight.

go find a pallet somewhere and buy a 500m roll of glad wrap, put the motor onto the pallet.
tie it down with something like some coat hangers, and then wrap it up and then book your courier service ! :D

Good advice from Zco, or if it is going to Orange, which isnt that far, organise a ute and meet the buyer half way, only take you 1.5 hrs each?

God I love the cosmo manifold ><

I sent a 13B Turbo engine/box to Adelaide for $330 from Sydney, weighed in at about 300kgs from memory, that was depot to their door.
