hey guys,

sorry if this has been asked before but i searched and couldnt find anything.

will sr4 recaro's fit into a dc2/4? and if so, how are they different to sr3's? as in fitment? will i need different rails, will i sit higher/lower, is there enough room for the seat? e.t.c

any pictures would be even better!

cheers,

pete.

It will fit fine.

You will need dc2r rails or after market rails for dc2 ( like vision superlow ) to use teh SR4 seats.

Some people say SR3's are more tighter than SR4's.

But generally it can be fitted without issues.

yeah.

use dc2r rails to fit the sr4 seats.

fitment is fine.

u would probably find if you move the seat too far forward the top of the seat will hit the roof in the dc2/4 when folded forwarded.

thanks heaps guys.

so as for comfort.. would those who have experienced both be able to tell me which is better. Im guessing that the sr3's have a more sporty feel.

they are both comfortable, I have sr3's and hugs the body well, however the shoulder width is bit too tight. in terms of the sr4 I have heard its the opposite with leg room being slightly squashy. can someone with sr4s confirm?

I rekon sr4's are alot more comfortable than sr3's.

Fitment will vary from person to person.
Best to just go sit in both of them.

If you can't find anyone you know with them just find a dc5r and a dc2r for sale and go sit in them.

SR4's hug you alot more than SR3's.
SR4's have a higher, more angled thigh bolster compared to SR3's (~75 degrees on SR4 compared to ~50 degrees on the SR3) so it feels alot 'tighter'.
Lower back is moderately supportive on both seats (not much difference)
Shoulder bolsters on SR4 are tighter than the SR3's as well.

In general SR4's would be good for skinny/medium builds.
SR3's good for all builds.

You'd probably have to sit on both versions to really see which you prefer.
I'd take the SR3's if it were for long cruises, lounging in while daily driving.
I'd take the SR4's for sporty driving, track days etc.

perfect answers. although i really think i should go test drive both seats just to be sure. seem to both be awsome seats and its all personal preference cause theres no mainstream opinion.

thanks guys.. oh and i will most likely be on the hunt for nice sr3's now that i've heard these opinions. but then again, i like the more huggy feel plus im not the biggest kid on the block (small) haha

sr4's are a tight squeeze in a dc
sit alot higher than sr3's
not as tight as sr3's imo
but stand out nice from the outside

I've tried both and the only way I can explain my feelings of each are:
You tend to sit IN SR3's.
You tend to sit ON SR4's.
For me SR4's are good for short distances while SR3's are better for longer treks.

I found SR3's more tighter than SR4's especially around the base.

has anyone actually done this?
