Product Description:
The Cba Ceramic Cushion Button Clutch Kit consisted of:
1x Ceramic Cushion Button Clutch Plate. (exedy)
1x Heavy Duty Pressure Plate (cba) (Unknown spec's, can find out if wanted)
1x Throwout bearing. (koyo)
The clutchkit was installed on my Dc2 Vtir (bseries).
First impressions once the clutch was installed was it felt completely stock on the foot. This was one of the major things I wanted, the car is a daily driver and I don't want a heavy clutch for traffic.
After making sure nothing was leaking, unbolted etc. I took it for the first drive. One of the first things I noticed is that it's a nice and bitey clutch. Because it's a cushion button it can be riden so it's easy to drive but it doesnt have any worries holding a nice solid shift. (Alot of people have a stereotype that racing clutches are hard to drive but this is just as easy as oem.)
I wore the clutch in for around 700kms (recommended) before doing any hard shifts and combined with the new solid rear mount the shifting feels alot more solid when the clutch is let out compaired to my old oem clutch. Since the clutch is ceramic it can withstand alot more abuse on trackdays/drags compaired to an organic, which is exactly what I wanted since i'm looking to attend track days soon.
I would highly recommend this clutch to anyone that wants an upgraded clutch whom is looking to attend track or just have the peace of mind that their clutch can get alot hotter without slipping compaired to the organic counterpart.
Thanks,
Andrew
