Hey guys I got my audio system all running besides the amplifier.

Can't seem to find a way of getting the amp cable from the battery through the fire wall into the interior of the car boot to mount my amp (without drilling holes in the fire wall ) - as I dont want to drill holes incase I drill into something bad

So if anybody can indicate how they did it on their cars that would be great!

Or if the only way is to drill a hole, where should I do this so that it comes out near the floor pan preferably on the passenger side

Thanks

you should be able to run the cable thru your holes already in your firewall, either on your driver side, or your passenger side. it be good if you get another person to help you also, to see if your actually threading it thru, and once its thru..you should be set.

Ok thanks mate.. which holes should I go for though? Most of them I can see that are accessible are already full with the cables going through them (ie the cable is the exact size of the hole).. So do I have to widen the hole?

unsure if this is useful to you, but on the back of the engine bay, there will be rubber grommet things that u can pull off and put the wires through there,
if the wire is smaller than the hole(probably is) put a small tear into the rubber bit, then put the wire through and stick the rubber bit back on,

hope that helps.

Remember to run your RCA's on one side and power cable on the other or you will get a static sound when you finally wire it up.

I managed to do it finally but now having trouble removing the headunit, I didnt put it in so I dont know how it is gone in.

Anybody know whether the headunit is bolted in from the back or from the front under the center console panel etc on a DA9? It will save me to ask before pulling apart different panels

cheers!

It should be just pushed into the bracket and clicked in.

Look on the sides of the headunit after removing your centre console and headunit sorround to see if you see any clips on the side of the headunit sticking into the bracket, you will need a flat head screw driver to pop them out, then put your hand behind the headunit and take off the loom and push the headunit out.
