How and where in sydney can i do this???

Just grab the cars details, engine number, vin number and rego number.

Go to the site above and enter it in and it will give you history on the car, if its been a write off/accidents/debt owing on it etc etc.

Just remember that just because it's not on REVS, it doesn't mean that the car hasn't been written off in the past. If some tom dick or harry does bodgy repairs under the radar, it can be surpassed.

dont rely on revs check have a exprienced person check the car over for u

Not sure about NSW but in QLD, you can get a Vcheck which "contains vehicle identification, status, history and REVS information".

Its much more useful than just a REVS check because it gives pretty much the whole history of the car.

I inspected a corolla last year and was going to buy it but I did the Vcheck and found out the kms were wound back 180,000km and that the owner lied about the amount of time he owned it for.
