Which one.
Top bolt?
Rattle gun dood.
Or put the shock assembly back in the car, tighten the top shock bolts that go thru the chassis, loosen it on the car using you allen key and spanner.
Should be easier with the spring on full load and on the car.
Dont take the bolts completely off though.

have you tried spraying a penetrating oil or loctite freeze and release?

u mean the bolt thats holding the top mounts down?
Use a allen key with a long pipe for leverage, and use a ring spanner and step on the ring spanner then with a little bit of force on the pipe it should come off with the help of some wd40

Okay. First I tried doing it whilst out of the car, in a clamp. I've rounded an allens key. So hammered in a larger one. Maybe i shouldn't of clamped it? and let the spring be fully load?
Ive also tried it in the car. No luck and no leverage.
All whist spraying a load of penetrating oil.
End result. My cousin tried to saw off it off! Never have i met such a stubborn bolt. SO time for a new set of shocks now.
