This may work. Check to see if your parking brake is too tight. The warning light is the parking brake sensor. You can adjust the tension on the parking brake.

hope that helps. sorry if its not the issue

disconnect both battery terminals, and see how? after reconnect it, the light should be off, otherwise u may need to take ur car to workshop have a check.

Handbrake is cable operated and has nothing to do with the hydraulic system. Possibly dirty contacts or faulty switch mechanism under the handbrake lever.

I've got the same problem... It started the morning after a run through belgrave. But i havent had it since either... I think the best starting place is to check the switch as T-onedc2 suggested. see if that fixes the prblem.

no not a chance, if that was the case you would need to pull the lever a little further and harder to apply adequate clamping pressure.

one for clutch and one for brake, they use the same hydraulic fluid
