Hi All,

Quick question for all with a 7th Gen Accord.

Inside, you have an overhead Sunglass holder with dual map lights.
Do any of the higer spec models have what they call a "mood light" in this overhead console area?
Basically it is a small light that comes on with your headlightsa nd shines on the gear shift area of your interior.

Can you please let me know what model yours is if it contains this feature!
Also what colour the light shines as.

In the the 8th Gen Accords and CU2 Euro's it is now a light blue LED.

Pics would be great if you can take a shot too!

Thanks in advance for your assistance...

Glenn

My '04 V6 lux has this, it's a small globe that give the regular yellowish white light, it makes a fair bit of difference for a little fella. Will try for pics after work.

Yep like vegas said, small bulb, I think the colour of the bulb Honda selected for the Lux model is to inhance the colour of the wood trim panels at night.

Also, what is the colour of your consoles?
Are they a very light grey colour? As that is what it is in the Euro.

Sorry; I mean the overhead console / sunglass holder / map lights.
Is it a light grey, similar to the headlining?

Nah, mine is tan cos I have the tan interior,

I think maybe the black interior accords may have the same colour as you ope126,

I will take pics for you tomorrow when I get home from work,

Why dont the Accord euros have this?

Usually the accord euro have more stuff, like headlight washers etc.

Thanks mate that would be great if you could take a close up pic of the overhead console. This might be the only thing that the Euro missed out on!

Mate, thanks heaps for that.

That is exactly what I am talking about, the little "mood light".
The Euro one is the same, except for the little light.

Now to find one in Light Grey.

You say your vehicle is an 04' Luxury.
I might slip down to the Honda Parts dept. and see how much they want, or maybe check out some wreckers.

Thanks again.

no worries buddy,

There is also a little relay box inside the compartment to control the lights,

So Im not sure how you will get the light to work without the wiring, you will probably have to lay wiring down yourself to turn on with your headlights, like the Accord,

Good luck!
