Hey lads,

I have a DC4 gsi, and it is bloody hot up here in QLD and summer is deifinitely gonna be a killer. Just wondering hwat I need to be able to add A/C to my car, and the costs involved. I have basically been led that the cost is not worth it. Thanks guys,

Javed

Any cost is worth an A/C in summer :!:

If you can find a wreker that has these cars, then go and buy the A/C system off them. should be around $300 - $500. It's not too hard to put in, if you've got some mechanical knowledge.

But if you are gonna get someone to supply and fit an aftermarket system you'll be looking at around $1500 to $2000.

$2k argh! There is a local honda wrecker up here, might go have a look. The ac compressor needs to be driven off the belt doesnt it? Dunno if id be able to do it myself, wouldn't know where to mount it etc.

you might be able to buy the system and get someone to install it. Might still be cheaper than someone to supply and fit.

I suggest ringing around first

what do you mean by this

there not that hard to install, just need an aircon place to vac out and gas up for you ( certified place ) once your done. compressor can be a little tricky but not that hard. all depends on your skill level.
