Silly questions for Euro

Hey dudes,

Just got myself a 03 and 04 Euro.


Just wondering if all the body parts are interchangable?

Like from the 03 to the 08 models?


what i mean you know how Ek's are facelift and pre facelift.... Euro's are generally all the same fitment right?


mainly the front end im talking about.

everything still all the same? besides them little differences in the lux and base models bumpers.


really any info on what i need to know would be good..

in general the grill and bumpers won't be able to fit cause slightly wider on the 06+.

what about lip kits? will fit from 03-08?

if you get a lip kit, depending on which lip it's for, you'll need the corresponding bumper

i.e if you buy a 03-06 lip kit, then u need the 03-06 bumper etc

i am not 100% sure on fitment for lipkit but presumably i don't think it'll fit.

Stick with the years, 03-05 and 06+ and as stephen said you need the same year bumper to match.

- Full size 16 or 17 spare
- Interior leather has changed (Lux only)
- H badge on steering and hazard button has gone shiney.
- Face lift
- Diff dash dial style (got blue instead of orange)
- Diff style wheels

the front headlamps and rear tail lights are different too
as well as different steering wheel for the 06+ compared to 03-05,
different front bumper, (which means different grille) and different dials like u said

and as far as I know, you can fit 03-05 bodykits e.g mugen bodykit, luckystar etc for the 03-05 on the 06+ because I remember a member had an 06+ euro with my mugen front on his....


03-05 euro and 06+ euro are essentially the same car, but like you said, its been facelifted. Cosmetic mods to the exterior and interior should be 99% same parts/panels etc. Engine and other car mods are the same too because it still has the K24 and the engine didn't change so fitting things like a CAI would be the same throughout all the year models for the CL9 euro...

Bumpers are interchangable for the 03-05 and 06+.

In addition to crapdaz and stephen other differences include the rear bumper, the curves near the exhaust is wider on the 06+, also the hazard light button on the 06+ is clear red. Also I think from 05+ theres an extra power socket in the center compartment

Interior leather has changed? :confused: Only difference I know is that 06+ had option for black leather with black exterior.

06+ most come with bridgestone RE040 or dunlop2050 and also 215 or 225 (can't remember)/45/17 (lux only)

Exterior Wise
03 - 05 models apparently has stiffer suspension setup - 06+ has abit more free flowing exhaust system starting from the headers.

03 - 05 run dunlops tyres - 06+ (lux only) run RE040's

The bumpers are interchangeable but you gotta change the whole bumper itself. Like stephen said if you wanted a lip kit that was made for the 03-05 and you wanted to fit it to 06+ you gotta change the whole bumper. The only thing that will be direct fit on is the side skirts.

Interior wise
On the 06+ compared to the 03 - 05

hazard button is shiny red not dull anymore :S

The steering wheel has an extra circle of chrome around the H and its both shiny.

Trip computer

The Gear Knob is a more of a stick than the big square chunky thing.

Trimming is a cheap carbon fibre wanna be look. but if you got the cream interior than its woodgrain. On the 03 - 05 they got bold silver look or the blue marble trim.

yeah thats right...even the 03-04 lux had a space saver and came in 16's before 05....
i got the 05 and that came with bridgestones.....and the Euro R rim (though it was silver, not the darker silver that came stock on the euro R's)

Doubt it. The exhaust and cat should be the same as 03-05. But the block of the 06+ is better with pressure equalisation channels.

Cat has lower cell the 03-05'. That's all we got for the exhaust upgrade, TSX got the whole catback redone

Not 100% sure but I think they did. The one on the 06+ Euro is 600cell, if the one before is higher than I guess they dropped it :p

Was the number of cells printed on your cat? TSX 03-05 has 900 cell, TSX 06+ has 600 cell.

This a possibly silly question but being one of those unlucky pre 2006 owners I was just looking at the Scangauge II as a solution for a trip computer/fuel consumption monitor. Can anyone tell me if the 2005 Euro is compatible with OBDII? I read on the Scangauge website that this only became mandatory on Japanese and Australian vehicles in Australia from 2006 onwards.

The trip computer and auto dimming mirror would have been nice to have on the 03-05 models

Rofl i'll show you the finish product once it's done hopefully by the Batemans Bay cruise. If not @ a later date.

Nah mugen is too much money, and i am not allowed to spend more money on on new things for the car (so greddy emanage ult will be the last thing installed) or my gf is going to break up with me... so minimal expenses for me.
