I'd do it so the CD player doesn't jam. But that's about it. Doesn't do anything for electricals unless you have a megapower amp.

it is advised when u have a big system so that when u put it in the ignition before starting the engine...the battery is not used stret away to power up ur amps

Yes I do, turns off my amps from the trigger wire and not from a sudden cut from the power supply.

same thing as leaving your fan off , or headlights off until you start the car.
These will draw quite abit and drain batteries quick smart if left on with accessories "on" so also will reduce the cars ability to start.......slightly.

If you have a normal car with normal speakers all that , who cares leave it on.
If you have a tiny battery like me , or a big sound system setup its advisable to turn it OFF when shutting the car off

Very true, I've seen people who turn off their headunits because of dodgey home installs where they didn't install the remote cable properly. Basically the remote cable shuts off the headunit or amp once the ignition is turned off.

Ever heard of cars being set on fire because of their amp? Well that is one of the reasons, the amp stays on even though the ignition is off and the owner comes back to find their car on fire because the amp no. 1 overheated because of poor placement and 2. has stayed on for hours because it hasn't been wired properly.

Yes! Because if i have my ipod connected and don't turn of the head unit what happens is the ipod stays on untill you next start the car.

Are you using the USB link or just plugging the iPod into Aux in?
