I was browsing over some DC5's and came across NZ Honda Forum.

This guy posted his DC5R for sale, however one that is J-Spec (unlike our detuned one)

here is the link: http://nzhondas.com/forum/vehicle-exchange/78419-2001-honda-integra-dc5-type-r-53k-kms-19k-new-photos.html

How does NZ get this and we dont? Maybe there isnt something im seeing.

can anyone shed some light on this?

And what an ace price he was selling it for!

NZ dont have any car industry to protect, they can import and sell any car over there with minimal restriction...

importing from nz is the same as importing from anywhere else.

Yes, that Dc5 has been imported from Japan. We also had an NZDM version which was basically the same as the AUDM version.

Well soon (as the world slips into economic recession) Australia might not have a car industry to protect either.

I was there for a year in 2002, then DC5R just came out around year, so still pricey and not much $$ back then...

what you can do, just ask your friend to get it and put in his garage for a year before u get it here. lol..
