No

Its a 100% possibility it wont blow the next time he gets into an accident.

You need to replace the whole air bag assembly, any blown fuses, (wiring, i think if necessary), and ecu.
The ecu isnt designed to recognise the installation of new air bags.

Although, that is from my knowledge.
Unsure if hondas are an exception. Which i doubt it is.

since the car has been in a crash that set the airbags off the SRS ECU need to be replaced. ( according to honda ) the crash data can be reset but you wont be able to do it yourself.

if u are reinstalling make sure your battery is not connected and u dont have power running when u are reconnecting the wires u might need to replace the srs sensor located under the dash

correct and wrong in a way jumidy...the ECU already detects the the air bags have been deployed. therefore there is no way the air bags shall go off even if battery is linked or even if car is in another crash. this is a safety measure in all cars running air bags to ensure driver is fully aware that SRS system is not operational and needs a check up, the SRS light will be on constantly indicating there is a fault. in some circumstances as stated above the wiring does does damaged and there for have to be replaced. unless your ecu is reset there is no exact way of knowing if the wiring is busted. a ECU reset can de done at ultratune since my previous VW had an issue with the air bags and had to do a reset and ultratune had the tools and knowhow to help me.

i think only honda would sell replacement airbags. no one would part off their steering wheel with airbag. even on the passenger side
