Welcome to Ozhonda. As Shogun said, into Intro Section.
You actually can't put a pod filter on to EG4. Being twin carb it'll have the old school filter. However you might be able to get a K&N filter in this style, as to performance vs price, i personally dont think its worth it.

You can get K/N filters in the Twin Carby version (If I can get one for my single carb, you can.)

Dont think there's any point for putting a pod filter in a carby. LOL unless you just want the looks ;). Why not Get Headers/Exhaust?? 4:2:1 full 2.5inch Would be . Just my thought though :)

well i'm gonna put an exhaust too. so do u guys really think that a pod is of no use? wont it make a difference in performance?

For Carby, not at all as i have a dual carb my self. It doesnt do jackshid LOL probably just the looks. I reckon you cant really mod that much with carby's.

alright then i'll forget bout the filter. bout the muffler, i dont want it to sound too loud. what do you guys rekon? will i get a good sound by just fixing a cannon muffler. or should i change the resonator as well

Filter won't make a HUGE difference, but it will be there (believe me, I know.)

well i got a cannon in today. sounds great. also a small question. on the cold start my buddy smokes a lot. when it heats u its fine. is it normal on carbys. this is my first carby engine.

do a efi fuel conversion.... after that... doa b18cr conversion... after that.. 5 lug conversion... after that 2x recaros sr4 with vision superlows rails. dc2r carpet and ek9 red matts, dc2r non airbag steering wheel, 15 mf10 wheels, buddy club n+ coilovers, dc2 mugen twinloop exhaust system, respray your car.
and thats pretty much what you have to do

lol trust me dont do efi conversion just save the stress nd get efi eg if ur doing engine conversion.
take the panel filter out and leave the intake arm and
lid of the filter box behind the carbs.
rotate the dizzy around half a centimetre towards the front of the car.
that'll make a lil difference =]

if you want to mod up ur EG, as said previously, get an EFi EG, sell this one and get an EFi EG, the price range aren't much different. But seriously, with EFi's, you basically can do anything to it!
For the cannon, I got an EG VTi, got a cannon on it, and what i've noticed is i lost power after 4000rpm, i asked a honda specialist and said, the cannon is blocking the air out (thats what makes it loud). If you want to do an exhaust, do a simple job, a 4:2:1 is good, try not to cut/weld the exhaust in the future, reason being, dodgy jobs can lead u to unsucessful "things". If not, get a cat back :) they're alright too, not bad :
cheers mate and good luck :)

Here's a link with dual carb mods which I will be doing in the near future.
EFi EG's aren't much faster then the GL stock, even a VTi for that matter lol. I've owned all except for the Si which I have been in which is a tad better then the VTi.
