installing ignition barrel - dc2 vtir

could someone please advise how to install an ignition barrel in a dc2 vtir.

you have to remove the old one 1st, undo the covers and use a hammer and chissle to get the old nuts off. gently tap then round in a manner that undoes them, then replace the ignition lock and put in the new sheer nuts ( oerder from Honda ) . as you tighten them they snap off when they reach the corect tention leaving you with the same flat finish as the ones you removed.

are you changing the ignition lock, or just the switch on the back ?

i've actually just followed your diy in changing the ignition switch which is all good.

in saying the ignition barrel, i was referring to the part that you put the key in, is that what you where talking about? i took it off before which was easy but i'm having trouble trying to put it back.

did you take it off as a whole unit or just remove the lock cylinder from the barrel ?
