Final drive

Do all D-series engines come with the same 4.25 (I think thats what it is) final drive?

Any higher FDs that will suite a d16a8 ?

The US boys are talking of " 4.9" FD's on the US forums that would suit our engine...i suggest the search here is futile and better to hit d-series.org etc.

yeah they (d-series.org) mentioned a 4.9 FD that comes on this one very rare transmission.......but i'm wondering if any locally delivered Ds come with a 4.9 FD?

ZC equipped crx's (4th gen ef8's i think ?!?) woudl possibly have it - being gear to around 180 etc...

Maybe ask Chi's friend , Vlad - he has liek 3 gearboxes sittign there...im sure we could salvage one....

Yeah I asked him last night on MSN and he said he'd get back to me.

I was hoping someone would know if other D-series boxes had a 4.9FD for SURE......but I guess nobody does :(

the higher the final gear, the faster to speed up......but the max speed will also be reduce.....4.7, 4.9 are common choice for people who what to mod.....but i heard that there is a 5.1 final gear available in Taiwan.....haha i think the max speed would be less than 170Km/h
