if u gonna take off the wing, i'd recomend at least getting a rear lip.

no wing and no rear lip lookz gayzor.

i think the 5th gen is one of those cars that can pull both off, thankfully honda designed a nice looking spoiler for it.

they look good both ways so you cant really go wrong
one word of advice, if your gonna take it off DO IT PROPERLY AND GET THE BOOT HOLES FILLED AND THE THING RESPRAYED, black grommits look so pathetic and they leak which is no good for the rust equation

i am tossing up the idea of taking the stock wing off mine.
if i did i would do it the best way....pick up a boot lid from a factory non-spoiler one and get it painted the right colour.
that way i can switch and change as i want.
and would be cheaper than getting the holes filled and resprayed.

shouldnt be hard to find a boot lid without the spoiler. the spoiler was only an option on the Si. just need to find a wrecker that has a Si with front end damage.

The spoiler was an option on the vtir also Manabir. So that increases your chances only a little cos most got them from factory.

The online brochure lists it as an option for both Si and VTiR, but not ATTS, I checked it out when I was wondering about my wingless vtir.

No Prelude had the wing fitted from factory, other than the ATTS models. All others were fitted at dealer level. This is why ATTS cars don't have a third brake light on the rear shelf, while all others do.

Anyway, couple of pics.

Later Type S spoiler

And for comparison's sake, the Mugen spoiler that was posted on the other page.

The main thing that makes the difference as far as I'm concerned is colour. The Mugen tail can really only work on lighter colours IMO, while the Type S ones work better on dark.

Looks like a supra wannabe spoiler. Best without spoiler imo. That was a requisite for when I bought my car, no wing.

The high spoiler WAS an original option part here, along with the other rarely seen bit, the funky 'bonnet spoiler' that sat at the bottom of the windscreen, below the wipers.

They were available as options from the dealer, but cost so much more than the normal spoiler that very few took it up. Plus, yes it looked like a Supra/Integra Type R wannabe in those days.

love the stock spiler with an oem kit... so clean and simple yet sporty!

i'd say stick with the spoiler and it doesnt even have to be the stock one, i think it the 5th gen looks abit uneven without the spoiler.

you know what you do micheal? you buy a gt wing !! LOL . and then you put your lude in the garage where no one can see it ahahaha

nahs well to be honest, since you have an oem real lip, your stock spoiler looks good so i wouldn't bother taking it off. as for me, mugen rear + no spoiler = *thumbs up :)
