Seat belt release button problem?

Has any one ever had a problem with their seat belt release button? My seat belt still seems to work fine in that it clicks in and releases when I press the red button, however, the red press button doesn't seem to be as springy as before. Normally when the release button is pressed the buckle ejects out with a bit of force. Now the buckle ejects but not all the way out.
Is this a safety concern?

i would fix whatever you need to..

you need to get out of your car but you have to struggle for a little to get your belt off.........?

Just feels like there is a broken spring and the button doesn't move up and down as freely as it once did.
