Hey guys,
I bought my 'Teg with already substantially lowered suspension, and was just wondering people's opinions if I upgrade to 17'' wheels with low profile tyres if they would scrub or not.
Currently Im running 14'' tyres that are pretty fat, so if I run 17'' low profile, would there be much difference?
Attached is a few pics obviously so you can see for yourselves
cheers

I have 17s on my car, tyres are 205/45, and dropped about 2 to 2.5 inches all round, only scrubs when I've got a full car load. Never have trouble when turning full lock. Hope that helps.

Thanks Ashwee.. In your opinion does your car have the same stance as mine then?

Used to have my car on 17s and lowered down so the rim was approx level with the guard. I think it was about 4 inches.
no scrubbing at all.

Mines are 17s, tyres are 205/45 and lowered 2.5" without and scrubbing/trouble.
Just watch out for ditches as usual.

You guys should be running 205/40 " s.
The overall diameter on 45's are bigger compared to stock.
Speedo will be wrong by 0.1 km/h lol.
205/40 will clear on most hondas that had 14" and 15" to start off with.
And theres the matter of offset and what camber you initially started with.
You can still have scrubbing with the right set of rims, if your camber is rooted then thatll need to be fixed before hand.
On stock height however it wont really matter. I doubt the wheels ever come into the guards. Youd understeer before that ever happens. Or be on 2 wheels.

My speedo is out by 3.5km/h.. not a big deal. Your car looks lower than mine but that might just be the stock wheels. Mine sits like this.

theyll probably scrub with people in back and weight in boot
but if u roll guards (around 40 each @ tempe tyres)
ull be sweet
as long as you have fwd offset rims
if you got offset under 30 u might have issues (cant remember atm if its sussy or guard scrubbn)

on the other hand, your car doesn't seem that low, but it rubs bad because your shocks and springs are soft.
beleive me, i just looked again, its near stock height.

shouldnt scrub unless you get a camber kit.. like others said.. also depends on offset
i was lowered at least 4 inches with about -0.5 camber in the rear and -1.5 in the front and i would only scrub the plastic lining on the front occasionally (no gaurd rolling)
PS: its definitely not near stock height... not the back anyway
DA9 is a 4wd when its stock !

Stock height.. you have to be joking, I've compared it to a stock LS and a stock LS sits like a truck compared to mine.. maybe its just the camera angle but its very low trust me
