We've got a b18c2 on an Integra Vti-r. Just wondering what Intake manifolds we can upgrade to. I'm asking because I'm aware that different IM's have different bolt patterns.
Also I'm after thoughts, opinions and experiences that different people have regarding different IM's.

thanks in advance guys.

Skunk2, Blox, Edelbroch etc.

B16A and B18C7 are interchangeable I think, but they're both different to the B18C2.

b18c2 should have the same head as the b16b.

Nothing can go wrong with oem. =]

Hypertune seems to have a good reputation. Get the to make a custom one.

Ozhonda knowledge FTL :thumbdwn:

We've used Skunk2 on a P72 head with some good result. They got my vote

Im using Blox intake manifold with P72 head... works well and is cheaper than the skunk2

much more gain over the itr IM?

I mean does it flow more. I was under the impression the S2 is just a carbon copy.

All those aftermarket manifolds are ITR OEM copies... I know the skunk 2 inlet manifold has a slightly improved 4th runner and some other minor differences. As for flow and performance they are all the same or similar...

sorry 2 hijack thread, but is it true if you dont tune the aftermarket skunk2 IM it actually runs shitter than stock on a b18c2 head? been hearing lotta complaints that after a certain rpm it actually losses power then gain again

Depends on the engine setup etc.. But yes you need to tune it through an aftermarket ecu properly to get proper gains...

It will run even shitter if u install skunk2 IM on a b18c2 using stock computer because vtec kicks in too early, you gotta adjust the vtec abit higher

get skunk 2 americans love it.

also i think you can get a combo of throttle body and intake manifold, you get discount from triple 999, the distributor

hey man keep us updated on vtir build, i wanna do a build on a freinds vti R, just seeing if its any good. i was thinking b16 head and then i/h/e and vafc tune

well, its got cams, pistons, zorst, toda extractors.

so I been telling them that the only weak point left is the IM.

last time it was tuned, i think it netted 117kwatw.

hopefully upgrade the TB, IM and up the comp a bit with different pictons, should see good figures.

is 117kwatw good on these cars, dont know much about power ratings on hondas. i assume thats pretty good for this one

was the pistons work nessecary ? for the first part

well, this is a vtir.

my dc2r got 106 or 108 i think.

I think these figures are just guideline only.

the pistons were changed cause it was an engine rebuild. I think it was smoking previously. So why not go forged aye.....

but i think when changed, the new pistons didn't up the comp too much.

I think its gonna get done again soon and this time, gonna up the comp. more again.

What pistons are you looking at getting this time?
