carbie AC requires a few more parts the EFI cars dont have. Idle up plunger and vacuum solenoid

I would have installed over 100 AC kits in my time, all Civics didnt come with AC

when you say " yourself " do you mean myself ? or can you do it yourself.

I was told I had the old unit, which means I needed it retrofitted so I can use the new gas. The problem is that the prices I've been quoted are around 1k-2k to do it. How can I get it done cheaper than this? I might do it myself if its not that hard.

to retrofit from R12 to R134a we used to vac out the system and then flush the AC system with a special machine. this flush would get all the oil out of the AC compressor and lines, then add the corect oil for R134a and change the Receiver dryer and gas.

not a job you can do yourself

Will getting a second hand ac from wreckers and removing my system be cheaper?
