cood be troo, tey cood r bluffin u

depends on who builds it, how they build it, and who tunes it.

but overall, in my opinion, i'd say that a honda built engine from factory is generally more reliable than one that's been opened and tinkered with.

x2 with what tripitaka said

I don't doubt the workmanship of most engine builders

but at the end of the day for the av. end user a b18cr is more than enough for the avid enthusiast :D

Yeah thats sounds like an awesome combo, 2.2L H22a block + B20b VTEC head + 6sp K series gearbox

No it is a waste of time and money, there is nothing wrong with the standard B18c head IMO it is actually better than the B16a head....

No, not at all. Im jsut curious, as the only B series part in a h2b setup is the gearbox, and you wouldnt use a b20 box...

Doesnt matter, to keep on topic, a b20vtec is a good setup when built right. Just look at zeforce/benson/fatboys setups.

Plenty of information regarding b20vtec setups on us sites

ok thanks man~ i read that b18cR is different to the vti R motor because the head is a modified ported b16a head.

so i will just use my money on bolt ons i/h/e and a computer ? and lsd gearbox and aftermarket flywheel ?. sounds good or something else ?

Funny you heard that.. because Indy from IS motor racing told me that on Sunday. Apparently, they select all the good heads for the B18C type R engines and then the duds go to the B16's.

Heard this before a few times too, so I guess it's true.
