Hi guys, i have just bought a 02 DC5 Type R with 16,000km on the clock.

As Integra is not an official Honda in Jakarta, i need help with the Service Intervals schedule. anyone know where I can get it?

Also I read that the Oz DC5 Type R is equipped with LSD? can anyone shed a light on me, as to what kind of LSD the DC5 have? and does it ever need to be maintained / serviced?

Sorry so many question? I have always drive Toyota. my other ride is Celica SSII (Zr in Aust)...

Thanks,

Ted

Kalo bisa setiap 5000kms must be serviced. I'm not sure what you mean by "what ype of LSD the DC5 have?", an LSD IS an LSD? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Congrats on the buy

LSD can be one way, or two ways. or some other type.. sooo either on acceleration or during deceleration as well.. so there are different types of LSD.. not sure which the dc5r is equipped with..

The DC5R OEM LSD is a gear type and never has to be maintained beyond normal gearbox oil changes with standard Honda MTF.

The LSD shares the same oil as the gearbox, and Honda only recommends that you change the gearbox oil every 80,000kms or so. I change mine every 5000km oil change or more often but my car is tracked.

There is an online Helm's manual somewhere let me find the link.

I change gearbox oil every 40,000km. I don't like to leave it til 80,000km. If you can get it changed for cheap, then change it often.

I found this online version of the RSX owners manual, which is fairly similar to the AUDM Type R: LINK (https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/om/RS0404/RS0404MAINIDX.pdf)and here is the Helms workshop manual: LINK (http://savefile.com/files/439452). The maintenance schedules in the Helms and the USDM owners manual are a little lax for me, I would service my car every 5000kms and do major maintenance items more often than they recommend.

Is your Type R JDM?

might wanna service it yourself using the manual charger gave you. generic mechanic in indo might not be "adequate" in terms of technical knowledge for your dc5r.
too many kijang lol hahah
