hey guys just wondering. my neighbour baught a dc2r but it has 200,000k's on the clock he picked it up for 13k tho...

just wondering. if an engine like this has been taken care of are there any down sides. does the car still go as hard or is it... tired? or exhausted ?

or if the car has been taken care of is there no difference at all really?

as long as its been regularly serviced and well maintained there should be no problems. Honda engines go strong even with high K's.
it should be up for a major service if the previous owner didnt do it.

the only things that needs to be monitored are the seals, oil, filters of the car, other than that u can get good k's out of the engine.

every car has it maintance time, however a car driven hard for 10kM against a car well maintanced for 100kM. so the condition is only trusted on the word of the preivous owner.
i would suggest checking if it has done its main service at 200km if not thats the first time i'll be looking at. as well as WTNESS statement of checking all the seals. noT doing so you only have yourself to blame.

I'd just have him do the 100k service again for safety :D

buy a timing belt, associated seals for the task, water pump whilst youre there, oil & filter, new coolant.

should have another 100,000ks or more left in her :D keep the service up to date and the sky is the limit

Motor will probs be tired... and can probs do with a rebuild.
