Guys, need some help!

Buying parts for a K20 engine conversion in a 2001 EU Civic and need to confirm what engine mounts will be needed. Looking around the net would tell me that a HASPORT HAS_ESK1 is the right one.
Also, can someone please point me in the right direction to get the following?
- mild body kit - if possible similar to EP3 kit
- Suspension upgrade (coilovers)
Has anyone done the same or similar conversion?
Thanks heaps!

So it is the ESK1, thanks!
I had a look at the Buddy Club website and it appears that the kit they offer is for a 2 door hatch. Im assuming the sideskirts will not be suitable.

i actually looked into this when I had a an ES1. You really should ask yourself is it worth it. dunno how much Kseries conversions go for now, but about a year ago it was goner cost $15K-16K. so it would be better off selling and actually buying an EP3(CTR)

Prices of K20 or even K24 engines and packages are becoming cheaper not to mention that I already purchased a cheap high k's 7th gen.

Your conversion is still going to cost you at LEAST $10k, assuming you do all the work yourself and you don't plan on upgrade brakes/suspension etc.

More as ive alerady purchased Carillo rods, CP pistons, Skunk2 cams and gears, buddy Club vales and retainers and an AEM EMS ecu. Budget is $15K with the brake upgrade on top of the purchase of the car...
Still worthwhile in my perspective as there will be plenty of power on tap over an EP3 which would have set me back over 25G's. End result is a unique power house sleeper.

It is a definite as I have already spent 5G's on the parts already...just have the headers and engine mounts to go and the car goes to Toda for the instal. Think im leaning more to the k24 instead.

What does Benson or Fatboy charge for such install.
Car is going to Toda Racing once parts have all come in...

Any idea where i can get a good condition cheap K24 motor?

It's still an expensive venture over getting an ep3 imo. Unless you're totally mad and crazy about EU's, I'll leave it at that.

In the end, your eu will have power but chassis will not hold as good as an ep3. Without taking measures to modify your handling, I would think the balance leans on straight line performance overall balance.

Adding on to that, on the long run you've got maintenance cost and the car's reliability. I would imagine to maintain a car with an engine swap will be more tedious than maintaining an ep that originally came with k20.

Point taken....each to their own i say...
Everyone has a different way of doing things at any given situation.

Cars cost money...modifications is an ongoing expenditure.
Half the fun is acknowledging where your money is going...so yeah, I hate money!
On with the project...AEM ECU just arrived!

you're totally right. dont want to follow the crowd now. be the black sheep, something different. besides its much more of a accomplishment knowing what you've done to your car rather than just going out there to buy a ep3 right out. kills the fun. after all we are car enthusiast's.
 keep it up!

and when u wana sell u lose value, imo u spend up to 15k on engine conversion including mounts and shit then brakes its at least more then 25k including ur car

u don't build on a car to sell it, u build one for enjoyment

engine = $a lot
selling the car = $a lot of loss
creating something unique and a sense of accomplishment = priceless

Hey guys!
Thanks for the posts...been a while since ive looked at this post.
As an update, I did not proceed with the EU civic conversion.
Instead I purchased a high mileage Integra Luxury and whacked in the
K24 engine with all the following mods:
- K24 engine out of a 2008 Accord Euro
- Ported and polished
- Carillo Pro H rods
- CP pistons 87.5 with a 12.5 compression
- Skunk2 Stage 3 cams
- Buddy Club Titanium Retainers and Springs
- S2000 Valves
- Skunk2 Cam gears
- Ported polished PRB intake
- Skunk2 high flow fuel rails
- 450cc RC iinjectors
- Custom Alloy Cold air intake box
- 6 speed Type R transmission
- ORC slinet type clutch
- Toda lightened fly wheel
- Toda Extractors
- Toda full exhaust
- AEM EMS ECU
- Coilovers
- Tein front and rear struts
- Tanabe front and rear swaybars
- Tanabe Control arms
- Function 7 LCA's
- Type R brake upgrade
- Type R Full Interior upgrade
- Sitting on 18" Bronze Work XD9's
Whole conversion took almost a month and managed to extract 165KW without the VTC and ram pod that was inducing hot air to the engine. Car is now currently at Toda for the final tune with the custom alloy cold air box. Hoping some decent power figures!
Will post some pics of the car over the weekend!

Next in the pipeline is a EK K24/K20 track car...car is already at GPC to get work on the way...

Like i said, I hate money!

You never get the cost of the mods back when you sell the car. E.g. I have also have an ED converted to an EF civic with a B16A turbo, spent a good $20K in the 2 year process without the cost of the car. I'd be lucky to be able to sell the car for $15,000!
So yeah, anyone want to buy a 200KW B16 Turbo EF with all the mods one can imagine?
Purple with black pearl paintjob! Need funds to complete EK K24/K20 franky!!!
