I just had an RSM installed in my car yesterday and it works fine but I have no idea how to change settings, screens etc I have searched for the manual and it seems to be for a different version of the RSM and not the one that most of us have. (Joystick as opposed to 4 buttons) I am wondering if anyone has a manual for this version or any help as how I can change some things. :)

Yeah it does monitor, but I am wondering how to change when it shows what etc. Mainly what speed it starts to flash. (I think you are able to change it anyway)

Thanks for that. What did you google? I searched heaps and only ever came up with the V1 RSM manual. (That's even what's on Apexi's website.)

go to apexi site
make sure its the RSM not rev speed meter manual
and its there as a PDF, should be named 22 when you download it.

I got a RSM on my Celica SSII... you can change the settngs of the display eg to show how many line of items or you can even show graphs on the display.

I did not use the manual, since it came in Japanese, so i just played around a bit with it. you will get used to it in 10-15 mins....

just play around, don;t worry, since it is just a monitor it wont harm anything on your car

There are some changes that you can make on RSM. Other than monitoring speed, rev and etc. RSM is also used as the speed limit cut device for JDM/Jap cars. The wiring diagram has 2 parts. Namely, speed cut and no speed cut wiring diagrams. The one that has your speed wire signal intercepted in series is the one that intercepts the speed signal to allow you to go more than 180km/h (no speed cut). The one that only runs the wire parallel to the speed wire signal is just for purely monitoring. Hence, speed will cut at 180 km/h

Settings like Tyre Size (Apexi predicted that we itchy big butts who loves to change our rim size bigger than the OEM ones with extreme tyre profiles), Vehicle weight and G sensor calibration (Optional) can be made for speed precision.

For more information, please look at the manual below:
