Hi guys, just wanted to get some opinions before I go ahead for the leather seat cover below:

http://i12.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/aa/27/1102_12.JPG

$650 posted including font + rear + centre hand rest console on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LEATHER-SEAT-ACCORD-EURO-JAZZ-CRV-INTEGRA-CIVIC-PRELUDE_W0QQitemZ250393555199QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU _Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item250393555199&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

The seller says:

"our seat covers are already designed to be compatible with the side airbags, all the stitchings tension are already measured to allow the side airbags to pop out. your side airbags will be still working properly"

All looks pretty good, anyone has experienced with them? Cheers!

i actually have ordered a set of those. from that supplier. they're currently 'in the process of tailoring' them. they said it takes about 4-6 weeks to make and deliver. and i only made payment about friday last week. the people running it are pretty good imo, good communication.

i also got double stitching in that red colour, which was an extra $50 and the door inserts for all four doors, which was an extra $100, because i didnt want the seats and centre console to be in leather, only to have the door trims to still be the stock, ugly grey.

so, all up it was $800  which is A LOT of money, but i wanna try it out, and i dont have enough money to go and get a full leather upholstery on the interior of my car.
... when it does come in though, ill probably need help putting those inserts onto my doors :(, so if anyone has any experience in this (preferably in brisbane), please reply or PM me.

edit: ill get some pics up on here when i get em, khoi

its fake leather isnt it?

aero

yes, its synthetic. however, its supposedly made with 'high quality semi-leather' and is supposed to be pretty durable. anyway, its got a 12 month warranty and if there is any cracking or whatnot after that 12 months, ill hopefully be able to afford something better.

Thanks for the info Aero. I just wish I am in Melbourne so I can take a look before splashing the cash. Though I think I'll wait a bit and see how yours go. Do let us know Aero, cheers!

For Aero: I've heard a lot of people complaining regarding the product that this seller sells. My cousin have it on his car and while the seller said he will "costum made" one for the airbags, it still came with the same model and airbags will be blocked. Complaint to the seller, the response was only "Its the same as the one in the picture, right? so you cant claim warranty or return that."

Just FYI mate... Cheers

Edit: I dont think DMX get his from this seller...

im not too fussed about the airbag issue. i dont think the vti comes with side airbags anyway. it shouldnt void my warranty, right? as long at it looks good and is fairly durable, ill be happy with it :)

I just went to their factory yesterday. They are really friendly and they are from Indonesia =) I've seen their samples and now I know why they dare to say 100% perfectly fit! =) I ordered red colour seat cover for my civic 09 with the door trims and centre console. It's a real leather btw..dun worry they are trustworthy. If you guys are from melbourne, visit their factory at dandenong if it's not convincing enough.

real leather?!?! but they're ad says its 'semi-leather'. i dont know what that means, but its not vinyl and i dont think its genuine leather. if it were, i think the prices would be much dearer.

the seat cover is an easy DIY. the centre console, wat u need is to remove the screw. for the door trim, i just glue it with contact glue..

They took about 4-6 weeks to finish the covers, etc. The installation only took a while.. =)

wait.. so with the trim u just glued that straight on top of the suede-ish stuff already on the doors? no need to open up the door panel or anything?
how much glue did u apply?? did u just place the glue around the edges, or smear it over the whole oem door trim? lol so many questions... just unsure about the whole gluing thing on the doors. whenever u get time to post pics, that would be great.

Haha naah, i just glue id over the whole trim without opening the door panel. but you can do that if you want to (if you are perfectionist). I glue on both edges and just a lil bit of glue in the oem door trim part.
