lol.. yeah take the airbox off for the vtec + depth in noise. and when i got my stock springs on it looked sooo homo, but it set and went down a few inches.. when i first got it lowered chopped and compressed it didnt have to set it was on its balls literally. (if the car had balls that is lol)

lol hope you literally didn't just take off the airbox like the guys suggest it u still need to replace it with something that will prevent impurities from entering the throttle body :p ie. pod etc. lol silly silly if you did just take it off for the ludz n vtecsss.

Vtec is never loud in a stock car, get some sort of a intake if you want loudness. The Long Ram intakes are normally pretty loud.
What springs did pedders use? Depending on the spring it might have not lowered much and it does take afew weeks to settle but it will only settle down 1 - 2cm's depending on how crap the springs are. :P

Cheapest way to gain speed.. Strip the car $0.

If you want power.. well there's heaps of threads about it do a search

lol wow i thought you were just jokeing :P

Stripping the whole car you`ll be "lucky" to get 100kg out of the car lol
I think the softtop might be a little less then 40kg

lol what can you remove in an s2000 to make it lighter? im thinking of dropping my aircon lol what will that remove? weight wise..

vyets

You can remove passenger seat.. aprox 20kg spare tyre aprox 10kg, jack and crap 5kg. after that you pretty much have the carpets and plastics which will be under 20kg. and if you want to go hard you can go sound deadening which is around 5kg s2000 dosen't have much deadening.
Then you can go with Titanium exhaust which will save u around 15kg if you go with a single. Massive intake box if I remember correctly when I weighed mine it was like 7kg or so.

Aircon system will drop probally under 20kg.

Biggest weight drop will prob be softtop and motor. Which should be around 40kg ish. But then without a hardtop you have shit aerodynamics which ruins the whole point anyway. Not that the softtops dynamics are any good :P

Yeh, it's about 40 kilos

~25kg for soft top assembly,
~14kg for supporting/associated structures (plastics, cross member, etc)

Total: ~40kg

Not as heavy as some would think.

Just remember, the S2000 is not a coupe/sedan converted into a roadster, so it doesn't need all the extra crap that comes with strengthening a tin-top when you lop off its roof. Usually, cars that have been converted weigh - oh - about 200-300 kilos heavier. ;)
