Hi,

With the original deck not working (since ownership of the car)- I've just installed a usb capable deck in a DC2r (no external amps) and have come to realise that the speakers in the car are truly bass-less wonders.

I am with the opinion that replacing the speakers (both front and rear) should help - but am unwilling to load the car with lots of audio gear.

Would anyone know of good replacement (no cutting panels) speakers that do not cost too much and weigh too much - but provide good acoustic response (its gotta have some bass) which can fit into a DC2r ?

Thanks in advance.

so basically you want speakers that dont weigh too much, dont cost too much, but sound great?

good luck with that.

just get a small sub and amp. it will not weigh much - as in <20kgs, and will give a much better result.

i'd go with pioneer TS-A1672S. theyre around $100 a pair from jb hifi. if u really want some bass i'd go for some 6x9's that you could mount on the rear parcel shelf but you'd have to cut holes. steer clear of the whole sub and amp route
