Hey all, for those who don't know me I am Chris AKA Flipmods and I usually work on Preludes, EG civics, DC teg and all the other older Hondas and the wiring but the Euro is a whole new ballpark to me as the ECU is complicated and canot be reset without Honda attatching their Computer to it.

Well just letting you know what happened to my car just incase you guys have the same problem later.

Well My VSA light would light up randomly, not when launching on losing traction, it's been happening for a year or so now but worse over the last few months. I didn't take much notice but recently decided to look into it and found my Brake switch faulty. Lucky I never got into any accidents.

I could have bought a new switch for $50 but decided to just take it apart and clean the contacts and re-alligned them. 15min later it was good as new and no more VSA light.

Pretty happy now and just gotta sort my vibrating car trouble above 80 K's and only when accelerating under load, not when free rolling or cruising. Will fill you guys in if interested when I find the answer:)

Great stuff to know!

Ps, I can't use open source programs or a tatrix obd2 cable on the euro?

Can someone tell me where this brake switch is located? We're having issues coming on randomly :(

By the way, sorry for reviving an old post, but I had to ask :)

Just follow your brake pedals assembly's arm to where it pivots against a "switch"
You'll know it when you see it

VSA can also come on and the engine goes into 1500RPM idle limp mode if the engine oil is too low and you take a sharp turn. Resets itself after two engine starts. I assume VSA uses the engine oil.
Poured in 1L of oil, problem solved.

But VSA is vehicle stability assist

Why would it use oil?
