Friend has a 2000 Hyundai Accent.

In starts in the morning everytime, cold starts, but say after driving for a bit and the engine is warmed up,it won't start again.

The battery has been changed.
The alternator was checked by a mechanic,he said it's fine.
The plugs are less than 10,000km...
Fuel pump has been changed.
Air filter is clean.

Anyone had this problem?
What could the problem be or what should be checked next?

Thank U.

Does the starter motor crank when warm? Or it doesn't crank but just click? Or no click at all?

If it cranks, then check the main fuel relay.

those cars are very comman for the crank angle sensor to play up. check that out. it might not be getting a signal from that sensor so it wont let it spark or the injectors wont open.

Looks like the Crank position sensor and/or the Camshaft position sensor is a common thing to go on these.

I've found out if the sensor is good it should read a resistance of 0.486 - 0.594.

So I'll test that first with ohmmeter before we go spending money on sensor's that don't need replacing.

I just need to find out where they are located?

It could well be the main fuel relay too.

warm it up turn it off if it doesnt start after u turn it off pour cold water on the crank angal sensor and try and start it if it work u know your crank angle sensor it gone

So the heat kills it.

Sounds like it could be the problem.
