Hey all,

I somehow doubt my transmission guy has been using genuine Honda ATF-Z1 auto fluid, although I now do my own and use it.

I'd like to do it regularly and have come across the Nulon Multi-vehicle fluid which they say meets ATF-Z1 specifications. Has anyone used it?

hey
I havnt used it although we sell it at work, havnt herd anything negative about it since we started to stock it. im sure you would also be able to use their full synthetic as well, theirs not much on the market that would better this fluid, genuine honda included.

I personally wouldnt want to change from oem fluid in that dept for the sake of saving a mere few bucks

I was hoping to use it as an alternative to do the refill, however price wise I just found out the Synthetic one (the non synthetic they don't say has the ATF-Z1 spec) is $12 more than genuine Honda ATF-Z1. Synthetic might be better, but this car doesn't get much use, and I was thinking more along the lines of a few $$ savings. Maybe the savings are in the fact that synthetic supposedly needs changing less often, however at 60,000 ks for a 12 year old car, this thing will probably get changed in another 12 years!!

it's a cxi what could possible go wrong :P
Honda recommends a trans fluid change every 80,000km stick with OEM hassle free

Yeah, its a bit jumpy changing down now and again, and other problem is it seems to take a bit long to change up. Disappointed at 60,000 k.

I'd recommend seeing an auto transmission specialist
