Hey guys jus thinkin of gettin some angel eyes for my eg civic, however a m8 of mine has got a pair, but says the beam isn't that far and that bright.

i wus thinking of buying the angel eyes, and hooking up a HID kit into them, wah you guyz rekon ? should be crazy yeah ?

however, even though the HID cost round the 600 - 700 mark just for parts, you can take them off and put them into another car which is a good thing so yeah, anyways.. :D

comments on this next lil DIY project ??

it is a good idea mate, but just remind u that the angel eye headlight is no longer using H4....probably using H7/H1....
and about the HID $600-$700???where does it from???? the one made in china and taiwan is not recommanded man.....if u compare with the jap HID, it can obviously tell u the chinese/taiwanese HID is not bright enough but only blue....and the light r not focus on a spot......also they could lead to the leakage of electricity.....

really mine used h3/h1's not sure if it was coz of my bulbs but mine wereb't that bright either

but u can always look for cheapo china/taiwan HID"S they're going for like 400-500 lately

the bulbs that come in the angel eyes suck, though the high beamers are ok. just a matter of getting brighter bulbs(super white, not blue as the blue's are dimmer). you can go 100watt(input) bulbs but if your relays are designed for 50watt they can fry the wires. 50w is fine. it looks pretty bright when you see them and project enough light onto the road. and if they are not bright enough(ie no street lights etc) just flick on your high beams

dont put eyelids on angel eyes, its a waste. you'll end up blocking out half the halo :( . the black ones look plenty mean, especially if you got a white car

also, with angel eyes cos they use two bulbs, rather than just 1 h4 bulb which is what normal headlights use, you will only have HID on your low beam and no high beam at all unless you set up some sort of relay system to switch between them. or you could go 2 sets of hid (h3 and h1) and again set up a relay between them

this was already done on my ek civic, i got black housing with coloured rings on mine. bulbs had to be H1s.

Hey, can you change the halo bulbs to a different colour...???

you could but you'd have to crack the housing open to get to it and then do some rewiring.

There's a sticker on my angel eyes saying not too use HID. I think you'll blind ppl as there is still alot of light shinning upwards.

i think its more likely to prevent the inner housing from melting, or the lens if its not glass. you can always aim the headlights down if they are up too much

Hey, can you change the halo bulbs to a different colour...???

i did it to my lights, the parkers now 7 colours instead of 1 colour
not a hard job, fitting all the stuff back in between the 2 covers was the hard bit

and lens and everything is fine, no cracks or anything

Most Taiwan HID are just repacks, eg Philips Ballast and Globe, wiring and packing there own company and brand. Most now just make the ballast, plus they have all the CE and E lab testing and international standards so is pretty safe. price range fom $500-$900

China HID is something of a question mark over them. Selling at like from $400 -$600.

Japanese also use repacks, but using Matsushita, RAYBRIG(stanley) etc etc. Most are starting to make there own ballast.

You get what u pay for, Germany and Japan products are usally in the highend.

he is right
what u paid is what u get
but i am still wondering why so many ppl still buy the 3-400 bucks china HID?
i am using hella ballast and Matsushita bulb, great stuff
or even some Koreans are good too...
(NOT KAIXEN! plz)
