Do what the kids are doing, bog it up and spray it black.

2nd hand bonnet is cheaper than the effort to weld, prep and repaint
I'd never go carbon personally, would like to walk out of a crash, lol

You might have a problem whilst trying to weld the holes up, as the bonnet will more than likely try and buckle, it is pretty hard to get it right, BUT possible..

yea my panel guy would prob charge like a wounded bull for spot welding shit, then you have to get it back to the right level, watch for it not to buckle
for the time, and headache it is, you'd be better off buying a 2nd hand bonnet

I was going to point kcokla in that direction but I wasnt too sure whether it was road legal bonnet pins he wanted or to cover the holes altogether.. Aero catch FTW!!!

They are still bonnet pins.. But they sit flush with your bonnet, thus making them road legal.
As it has been stated in several of the previous posts by myself and others, it will cost alot of $$$$ to cover the holes by welding metal to cover the holes, as this procedure takes time and is difficult not to make the bonnet buckle. Not to mention having to repaint the bonnet afterwards too.
The Areo Catch Bonnet Pin System will still set you back a few $$$, but I doubt it would be as much as welding. Plus it looks sweet :p
Hope we have helped you.
