I've read a test (Speed magazine maybe) comparing DC2R vs DC5R vs DC5S, they all were very even at about 6.9 if i recall correctly.

Differance between say a car magazine and yourself is that a car magazine would be using a proper timing device that would have next to no margin of error (IE It'll start timing from 0.1km/h and stop timing at 100km/h).

You on the other hand, would be using a stop watch, your eyes and your hand. Or even if you are getting a friend to do it for you, they would be sitting at an angel to the speedo, so wouldn't see it correctly, and are probably pressing it at like 90km/h... and yes if you are in the right gear at high revs it goes from 90-100 VERY quickly.

I have an Apexi RSM in my car, and it has the ability to time XXKm/H - XXKm/H... so I'll try and do a test.

But 6.7-7 sounds about right anyway.

it would be around the 7sec mark for sure

yes, its dodgy.

Check out what your Reaction time (http://getyourwebsitehere.com/jswb/rttest01.html) is. I did it twice and got .2.

So if you take into effect using your time it would be closer to 7 sec if done properly.

just a little bit of google and this is what came up
Though there was no room for a full quarter mile, and our tests were run on a very slight slope, the average of the best uphill and the best downhill run netted a 0-60 time of 7.1 seconds. Faster than the 7.6 of the last GS-R we tested, but still short of the best times we've run with a Type R (as good as 6.1 seconds, but usually around 6.5).
