hi need opinion, i am thinking of swapping my 02 white JDM DC5 R with 17,000 km on it with my friend 03 Black AUDM DC5 R with 10,000 on the odo...

Well, i really like black car, and comes with bronze 19' CE28' as well as 17' JDM Type R wheel... and also I like the 260 km/h speedo...

Also the AUDM DC5 R are easier to source the parts, since i got firends and relative in Sydney. Apart from the Brembo brake and Horsepower setting, any other differences?

hmmm..... okay... I'll stick to the JDM R at the moment... i am just afraid that one day if i need replacement parts, are they interchangeable with the AUDM DC5? cos i probably can get heaps of replacement parts from Sydney but not from Japan.

another question is... since our DC5 are based on CIVIC platform? consumables such as fan belt, oil filter, fuel filter... are they the same? well we have the CIVICs in Indonesia but not DC5. otherwise, which Honda models use the same consumable parts with the DC5?

Thanks guys this forum really help

Was thinking exactly the same thing...

hi all... in Indonesia we got 3 type of DC5.
1. Oz spec DC5 R
2. Oz Spec DC5 Type S
3. JDM DC5 R

all are grey imports.

hmmm..,, yeah i am keeping the JDM Dc5R at the moment ;)

about rarity... the population is 50/50.... but most consumable parts are the same right?

Id be very suprised if the JDM parts and ADM parts are any different. Keep ur JDM DC5R as it a "real" DC5R are rather than our Detuned ADM DC5Rs.

You've said that Indo never received either JDM or AUDM DC5R, so you'd have to import parts either way.

There are plenty of threads about the difference between the AUDM and JDM DC5R. Do a search.

keep the jdm dc5r
in australia
people buy the audm dc5r
then try to make it a jdm dc5r
so all the hard work has been done
if u really want the wheels just buy a set and put it on your car
but if u dont care about the jdm dc5r do the swap
as you will find another one other there

Exactly correct... I have to import the parts anyway... but since my friends n relatives are in Sydney, what i mean is that the parts are usable in JDM DC5 right, except of course for some engine parts... and some suspension bits

The overwhelming majority of parts for AUDM and JDM DC5 are the same, and the parts that aren't are parts that you dont want to buy from Honda anyway as they will cost an arm and a leg eg. knuckles, LCAs, cams, calipers, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, front brake pads.

ok friends..... thanks for your input.... yeah i guess I'll keep the JDM R....

maybe i will get SLD (Speed De-limiter), since mine will stuck at 180kmh... hey we got no speed limit in here, hahahaha
