car started hoping after vtec

about 20 min ago i was on the great western and i started giving it on 2nd gear,well after around 5000 - 5500 rpms i could feel my car hoping forward really lighty :confused: i tried again and i could still feel a small push repeatedly after 5000 rpms all the way to red line (7200 rpm).could anybody tell me wats hapening to my car coz i got no idea,anyone had this kind of problem before? i own a eg vti

were u going up a slight hill or just on a flat surface?

infact is sounds like the car is surging, so you might be loosing power, then gaining power , vice versa.

could be a simple tune up issue or faulty Ignition part.

Defintely sounds like fouled plugs / buggered leads or fuel filter to me.

Have a look at your air filter and replace if necessary and check your O2 sensor it may be faulty

lyle style i thought the road was a little bumpy but im preety sure it was flat as, great western is preety flat
