right, after spending 5 minutes yanking out the stock ecu from my 1996 Honda Accord, I had made a discovery. The ecu pin outs is exactly the same as this:

(top image coz my car has manual tranny)

I was like wth!!! my car is a 1996 then it should have an obd2a ecu/pin out that should look like this:

However, I checked the built date was January 1996 so I am bloddy confused lol! I'll give honda a ring monday but 4/4 times experience so far they know shit all about the parts and offered to come by and let the mechanic to check it out and give a pinapple from my wallet to them. Does anybody have any opinion regarding to this mixed match business??

If it is obd1 then it would be a straight green flag for me to get hondata s300 for boosting. The other thing is that I've been having a dilemma over what ecu to use for about 4 months since I thought my car is obd2a (didn't check till today). Another rofl, 4 months of worthless agony of ecu planning!

cheerrs!

Another discovery, I check the injector style plugs, the 'notch' is on the centre meaning that it is obd1 like this:

still, what the hell?

its OBDI style of wiring, in 96 there was a small amount of cars that where between OBDII and OBDI. OBDII function with OBDI connectors.

does your Accord have the immobiliser in the key with a red key ?

also what is your ECU code

there is no reson you cant use a P28 and make a ROM for it, however you may have to rewire a few sensors.

Hi ECU-Man, My ECU Code is P0A....after more research people say that it is from accord ex 94-95.

No, it didn't have immobilizer built in the key from factory. I have an aftermarket one installed.

5/5 strike for honda not knowing

Thanks for help.

ok,

you cant convert the POA to run Hondata S300 however you can source a P28 and modify some wiring and run it.

it should run the F22B1 with no problems

yeah dude, wire A11 to A6, dont worry about connecting the EGR as the P72 wont support it. u can use a P72 if you like
