1.9 litres, ie 2 bottles...just use it all up and let the excess drain out..

you fill into the fill hole (located on t side of the diff housing) like all other FWD hondas.
Make sure the front and rear axles are level.
You stop adding , when fluid LEAKS BACK OUT. This will settle , and once it stops dripping it is EXACTLY the right level.
The "right" level is around 2l. Just put 2 and a half MTF 06 containers into it to make sure and let the exces drain out.

surprising dont know why i had to use like around 2.2-2.4litres on the service cause it didn't top all the way up.

Yeah, mine is overkill, but I rather change fluid than pay heaps in a few years time to replace worn out synchros or gears.

Not sure why then. Maybe you drained out more than I did. I just let it drain until it slowed down to droplet speed and just closed it up. Roughly 1.9L this way. You might have gotten more MTF out by letting it drain for longer.

Yeh cause i got my mate to service my car since i was overdue by 3k for the 70k service.
It felt like crap and ended up getting engine oil, oil filter/mtf/brakefluid all fully flushed.
I don't think i can even change any of my fluids without probs cause i don't have a workspace that i can get into ROFLMAO!
Anyhow, how much does the HA GB oil go for?

I just passed 30,000km of hard driving and the MTF fluid has never been changed (unless they do it at the 20,000km, which I doubt). No wonder my gears are sticking hard...

I strongly recommend Roytal Purple Synchromax for anyone else looking at changing their MTF. It's great stuff. It's not cheap - but the good stuff never is.
I pulled Redline out of my Rx-7, as it was barely usable, and put in Castrol. With the Castrol it wouldn't even go into second without double clutching. I put in the Synchromax and it was like a near new gearbox - no joke.
It gets a good rap everywhere. Worth a look.

The manual states 1.9 litres but 2 litres is fine as well, I use 1 litre to flush and 2 litres to fill with a tiny bit over leftover. I do mine once a year or 10000kms whichever comes first. Doesn't take long to do, you can drain the MTF out at the same time you are draining out the engine oil.
