Hey guys i have a question for the turbo nuts out there as ive struggled to find it out myself =P

Anyways looking into a Greddy turbo kit on my D16Y8 with a TD04h-19t, what turbine inlet size is that turbo using t2? t25? t3?
Im asking this so if in future i wish i to upgrade the turbo what options are availible to me.
Garret GT2860R - 739548-9 is also the turbo im looking at in future any advise whether it would be to big or if its a good turbo etc etc

Sorry for the newb questions but ive only just looked into forced induction =)

Any help would be apreciated, thanks in advance.

T2 & T25 are the same!

Anyway if its the same as the 92-95 GReddy Kit its a T2 but fits any T25

GT2860R will fit

What do u mean its a better choice? isnt that the one i mentioned?
I liked it cos it was the dual ball bearing version of the gt28 and it would be good for if i wanted to aim for more power in future too =)

was also wondering if the turbo would be to big and end up being close to the block when using the manifold from the greddy kit? anyone done this before would like to hear ur comments about it.

If i can remember td04 is the same as t04 which is t3.

Gt28rs would be my choice also if i had a d series. Your td04 is much to large, Gt2871r would also be a choice if your going to run higher boost but i think gt28rs would be the better option on the d series.

GT2860r & GT2860rs are slightly different turbos.

ur best to sell the mani and the turbo as a kit and then start again...either find a cheap solid cast iron and put the gt28rs on it. Or get a new or second hand fullrace or another sort of mani and then chuck the gt28rs on it.
