ek4 With type r cams....

Hi all , I was wondering if i could sell off my type r cams to one of my mate that is driving a ek4 , He was wondering After putting in the cams must he go for tuning ? or is ok just to fit them on without tuning and will he gain power?

you will gain something, but to make full use of them you need to get it tuned

Personally i would get the car tuned. As shadou said, he hasn't had any problems, but what do bigger cams do?...Give your car different amount of air at different timing to the standard cams right?
So i guess you may run the risk of your car running on a dangerous air/fuel ratio. At the very least i would hook up a wide-band o2 sensor just the check its all ok.
I'm not expert though...just my opinion
